You can use Psychotherapy Excellence as a tool to stay on top of all the latest developments in the sector by attending CPD events and partaking in CPD activities. Can anyone use Psychotherapy Excellence?
The site is aimed specifically for psychotherapists, psychologists, psychotherapeutic counsellors, counsellors, trainees and those involved in the mental health field.
What is CPD and why is it important?
UKCP defines CPD as the systemic maintenance, improvement and broadening of knowledge, awareness, skills, abilities and the development of personal and professional qualities necessary for effective practice throughout the practitioner's working life. It will, in the main, be a manner consistent with the practice of the modality. It must not be confined to the modality or MO only development or activity.

It is necessary for Psychotherapists and Psychotherapeutic Counselors to maintain their CPD requirements in line with their membership body. If you are unsure please check either the UKCP, BACP or BPS website or your accrediting body.

You will need to check this criteria via your member organisation.
What do you do with my registration information?
In general, you can visit Psychotherapy Excellence on the internet without telling us who you are or giving any personal information about yourself. However, when you contact us (either online, in person, by telephone, fax or letter) to enquire about, order, or start using our products or services, you may be required to provide personal data such as your name, company position, address, telephone number, mobile number, fax number, email address, and credit card details. We will collect that information and use it for the purposes for which you have provided it. We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent, and we will not pass any of your personal details on to third parties unless it is necessary to facilitate your enquiry.
I’ve forgotten my password - what should I do?
You can retreieve your password by entering the email address you registered with here. We will then email your password to you, this should only take a few minutes. If you don't recieve an email please check your SPAM mail. If you require further assistance please phone 01865 428 649.
How do I update my account information?
You can update your account once you're logged in. Simply login in with your username and password and then click the 'Login' button, once you're logged in, you can access your 'Account' there is a button within your account area enitled 'Edit account details' click this button and amend fields as required and then 'Submit' the form to save.
How does the CPD log work?
Your Psychotherapy Excellence CPD log can automatically record all your event attendance activity if you are a paid member and the training organisation that you have attended an event with is registered in our site.
