Searching for the Beloved

Using a variety of learning styles including video work, case discussion, theoretical thinking participants will explore: •How cases with a preoccupation with a search for the beloved may present in a clinical setting. •What theoretical understanding can we use to understand this/help us to explore meaning with the client? •How do we work with this material in the room? •What clinical and technical impact might there be on the therapy as these relationships develop, or flounder? •How gender, culture, sexuality and other difference may impact on the transference and counter transferences in the therapy.
