The Head of Counselling Services will be responsible for maintaining and developing the Diocesan Counselling Service for clergy, their families, licensed workers and actively engaged lay church members. They will offer support and training on good practice in pastoral care for clergy and parishes as well as facilitating and developing awareness and resources in Mental Health.
The successful candidate will be:
• An accredited counsellor / psychotherapist with an appropriate professional qualification
• Experienced in managing a varied counselling workload
• A practising member of the Church of England or a member church of CTBI
An enhanced DBS Disclosure will be required for the successful candidate.
An Occupational Requirement exists for the post-holder to be a practising Christian in accordance with the Equality Act.
The role is offered for 25 hours per week.
Salary: £33,047 - £36,499 pro rata, dependant upon qualifications and experience.
Actual salary for working 25 hours per week £23,605 - £26,070.
