Centre 70 is a successful charity, established in 1970. We offer a range of specialist advice, counselling, and well-being support to people in Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham and surrounding areas.
We are looking for an experienced and creative Counselling and Wellbeing Service Manager to manage and coordinate our busy Counselling and Wellbeing Service. The serviceoffers weekly low-cost/free counselling to clients for up to one year, provided by 20+counsellors. This service has existed at the heart of our community for over 30 years and is an integral part of the innovative and holistic support offer we provide to our clients.
The Manager will be responsible for overseeing the clinical work within the service and management of a small team, including part-time admin staff and supervisors. The successful person will have a commitment to ensuring people facing multiple disadvantages have access to psychological support and will work closely with our other services to ensure our service users experience a joined up, holistic service that is focussed toward their well-being and care.
The successful applicant will be accredited with BACP / UKCP / BPS, as a Counsellor / Psychotherapist / Counselling Psychologist, and have at least 3years post qualification experience. Previous management experience and/or experience of working in voluntary sector settings is desirable. A recognisedsupervisor’s qualification wouldalso be an advantage, however we will support the right candidate to grow and develop in this role. There will be some responsibility for project development, with the service expected to expand over the next 2 years and this will be supported by Trustees and management.
F/TSalary (for 35 hrs): NJC scale point 31 £37,131 incl London weightingHours:21 hours. Worked flexiblyspreadover serviceopening times to maximise cover (in the office and remotely). There is a possibility that hours could increase as the service develops.
Overtime: Taken as time off in Lieu (TOIL)
Holidays: pro rata of 28 days per annum excluding bank holidays (plus additional special days between Christmas and New Year and Friday before the August bank holiday). 1 additional day for every complete year of service up to a maximum of 33 days per annum.
Part time salary, holiday and statutory days are pro rata of the above, based on hours worked.
