Association for Group and Individual Psychotherapy

The Association for Group and Individual Psychotherapy was founded in 1974 as a Professional Association of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists. It now has members working in London, the rest of the UK and in Europe.

AGIP, based in Archway, North Islington, offers through its training section, apptraining, a pluralistic and innovative training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and a clinic, easily accessible to those seeking therapy.

AGIP's training is recognised by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy who in a recent review said 'AGIP continues to offer an excellent training environment and more than conforms to college standards.'

AGIP's Psychotherapy Service is highly regarded in North London. We offer consultations, assessments and referrals for ongoing psychotherapy and a low-fee psychotherapy scheme, the Fairbridge Clinic.

Jeremy Holmes MD FRCPsych  is visiting Professor at the University of Exeter, and author of numerous papers and books in the field of psychoanalytic psychotherapy and attachment, including  John Bowlby and Attachment Theory (2nd edition, Routledge 2013), The Therapeutic Imagination (Routledge 2014)

From 2.30pm to 4.30 pm
